Late posting from a few weeks ago. When I got the call from Sarah and Alex to shoot their Red Egg + Ginger Party, I didn't quite know what it was - and I call myself Chinese :-). After getting more details over the phone, I know as "Moon-yut" (Mun-yut) - an ancient Chinese custom to introduce a month-old baby to relatives and family friends. The celebration usually takes place in a restaurant and red eggs and ginger are served. Nowadays, many families are more relaxed about when the red egg and ginger party is held: sometimes it’s on baby’s 100-day mark, sometimes it’s just within baby’s first year.
I am truly honored to have photographed Elliott's 100th Day celebration for Alex and Sarah. There was never a dull moment, especially with all the kids around!! Many thanks once again Alex and Sarah for having me photograph your special event. Congratulations!
